The Diamond Optics VOA (Variable Optical Attenuator has a range of network applications allowing highly modular design to be implemented in a modular cassette style system.

Application

This attenuator module has the ability to equalize optical power levels to the amplifier or other systems allowing the receiver to function within its accepted input power limits. This will minimize the overload and maximize stability capabilities of the amplifier. For other applications it can be applied in series with the high performance LC/A connectivity to allow the specific attenuation required at the relevant wavelength.
